School Values

Our school values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.

After a very successful first half term in which our Value was Respect.  This half term our Value is Kindness. Please contact us to share any examples of kindness that your child has shown so we can share these and add their names to our Value tree.

Spring 1

Our new Value is Determination.  We will be talking, during our weekly assemblies, what Determination is and looking at ways we can show this value.  Again if you have any examples of your child showing any of our Values at home please contact us and we will share them in our assembly.

Spring 2

The new Value for this term is friendship.  We will be looking at what makes a good friend and designing our own friendship recipes.  We will be listening to and sharing stories of friendship.  In our assemblies we will be sharing examples of how the children have shown the Value of friendship, if you have any examples of your child/ren or other children in our school showing excellent examples of friendship please do let me know.

We have now completed our first year of the Values programme and it has been extremely successful with the children demonstrating the Values in all areas both at home and school.  Children seen showing any of the Values received a badge stating the Value and they put a leaf on our Values tree with their name on it.  The tree looked amazing at the end of the year.

This year we have decided to look at 6 new values the first of these is Honesty.
